Universal Support – Help to Claim Project Co-ordinator

£22,462-24,313 pa (depending on experience)

Up to 37 hours per week.

Fixed Term to 31st March 2020

Citizens Advice is set to deliver a new service from 1st April 2019 called “Universal Support: Help to Claim” which offers end-to-end support to help people make a new Universal Credit claim and be ready for when their first payment arrives.

Working in Partnership Local Citizens Advice Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire have an exciting job opportunity helping local people through the Universal Credit claims process.

We are looking for a project co-ordinator to support three full time advisers to work directly with local people to claim their benefit entitlement and provide advice. The postholder will be expected to work across Bolsover, Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire and will need on occasion to be able assist with project delivery where appropriate.

We are jointly seeking to appoint a person with good management skills, who thrives in a busy environment. They will be flexible in how they supervise projects, as well as a commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice Service. Recent advice work experience is required.

Working in Partnership Local Citizens Advice Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire have 3 exciting job opportunities helping local people through the Universal Credit claims process.

We are looking for 2 full time advisers to work directly with local people to claim their benefit entitlement and provide advice. These will be based in North East Derbyshire but will be expected to work across Bolsover, Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire. We are also looking to employ a full time telephone/web chat adviser based at our joint telephone centre in Chesterfield to assist people with the claims process.

Citizens Advice North East Derbyshire and Chesterfield are jointly seeking to appoint persons with excellent IT skills to support clients to make and complete their Universal Credit claim, as well as a commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice Service. You will have the ability to interview client’s using sensitive listening and questioning skills to get to the root of the issues and empower clients, whilst maintaining structure and control of meetings.
